My Gear

I converted from full frame to Olympus M43 in early 2018 and I now shoot exclusively with OM System / Olympus cameras and lenses.  I am incredibly happy with my OM gear, which is light, ergonomic, and ‘intelligent’. My kit list is currently as follows:

Camera bodies & lenses

  • OM System OM-1 II & Olympus OM-3 bodies
  • Olympus 150-400 f4.5 Pro lens – my go-to wildlife long lens
  • Olympus 300mm f4 lens – light, razor sharp and ideal for travel
  • Olympus 40-150 f2.8 Pro lens – a tack sharp lens for larger insects
  • Olympus 12-45 f4 Pro lens – an ultra-lightweight landscape / travel lens
  • Olympus 60mm f2.8 Macro lens + extension tubes – ideal for travel
  • Olympus 90mm f3.5 macro lens
  • Olympus MC14 1.4x / MC-20 x2 extenders
  • DJI mini 4 Pro drone & RC-2 controller

Ancillary equipment

  • Shimoda v2 30 20L camera back-pack with ‘Large Mirrorless’ core unit – by far the best backpack I have ever used
  • Manfrotto 15L Beefree backpack for macro – takes all my macro gear so I can pick pick it up and go
